We can’t explain the
activities, things to do, and entertainment opportunities any
better than The Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau says on their Website about activities and entertainment on the
San Mateo County Coastside.
“What is there to do on the Coastside? The
beaches and mountains, of course; prowling around postcard-pretty
Pillar Point Harbor with it’s yacht club, fleets of fishing
and pleasure craft, offering deep sea fishing or whale watching
in season; horseback riding, hiking in the redwoods, browsing
through dozens of shops with a huge selection of everyday and
travelers’ needs, arts, crafts, and antiques. We have
many art galleries on the Coastside featuring nationally known
artists as well as many talented local artists and artisans.
You can even pick (in season) your own berries, kiwis, pumpkins,
and Christmas trees on several Coastside farms.”
“Our calendar is full, and you're invited to all the exciting
events-among them the popular Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin
Festival every October, the Pentecostal Festival (Portuguese
Pentecostal Festival of the Holy Ghost), an old-fashioned Fourth
of July parade and fireworks, a Tour des Fleurs through local
nurseries, the Christmas season's Night of Lights Festival,
and the annual Dream Machines with its wild and wonderful displays
of planes, helicopters, tractors, trucks, and cars. A special
mention: Coastal Repertory Theatre has live theater entertainment
in Half Moon Bay year round. Historic points of interest are
a delight year round.”
“If you have not been to the Half Moon Bay Coastside recently,
you have not been! We have it all: fresh air, scenic country
roads, ocean panoramic views, golf courses and a driving range,
deep sea fishing, horseback riding on the beach, fields of glorious
flowers, vegetables, pumpkins, and Christmas trees, marvelous
restaurants, superb hotels and inns, and the perfect gift for
everyone on your list.”
“Travel to the Coast in a luxury limousine, relax in a
day spa, and enjoy small theatre at its best. The historical
sites and natural beauty of the different flora and fauna that
await you will fill your days with learning and adventure. We
know you will be back again and again.”
In addition to all these activities and things to do, there
are a significant number of music entertainment opportunities
on the San Mateo County Coastside. The Coastsider Online Magazine http://coastsider.com/calendar/month.php maintains a current listing or all the music and entertainment
happening on the Coastside.
Don’t forget the 5 mile Coastal
Trail for walking, biking and horseback riding along the
ocean. We're right on the trail so can stop in for something
to eat or drink while touring the coastline.
